Our second year at Wickham was as good as the first, with good weather & lots of interest – we also got chance to see some great bands too..
We had a good time at the Garden Show being visited by ‘regulars’ as well as helping new people out of pain.
I also took some photos to show what’s involved in our setting up our marquee, as you can see we do it all ourselves..
We had a lovely day at Harvey Moon in Felpham on Saturday , sharing Emmett Technique with clients & friends.
There were some lovely reactions to our short demonstration sessions – easing knee pain, neck & shoulders, backs and grip – so much that we already have some bookings.
Owner Gillian is so enthusiastic about the technique that she has taken the EMM-Tech course, wants a regular clinic in Harvey Moon Salon and is also organising an EMM-Tech Course in July & I’m doing my best to get her to train as a Emmett Technique practitioner too!
Once again we were invited to help out on the Emmett Technique stand at CAMExpo Olympia, doing demonstrations & seated treatment sessions.
I helped out on Saturday for a while and Paul & I there all day Sunday, we were really busy with lots of interested people, doing demonstrations of how to restore physical balance so simply using Emmett Technique, offering short Emmett treatments & talking about the different courses available.
We both thoroughly enjoyed it. I met an Emmett therapist who thanked me because I had met & treated them at CAMExpo a couple of years ago, now we’re working together & they are enjoying their Emmett journey.
Thank you to everyone who allowed us to share Emmett Technique with.
This was our first time at Wickham Festival and we had no idea what to expect, although the weather forecast looked pretty good for the weekend. It is a much smaller festival, quite local to us and we would be in the main arena with all other traders. We had no cause to worry as it was fairly well organised, after a hold up we were sited and getting set up ready for opening Thursday afternoon at 4pm.
We were surprisingly busy from the start and had bookings quite late into the evening, Friday was quite steady with lots of people wanting to learn more about Bow-Emm Therapy & Emmett Technique, the day went quickly although we finished sessions to go watch a band & before all our couch covers got too damp.
Saturday was non-stop for both of us from quite early on and folk booking in for Sunday, which turned out to be quite an emotional day for me – thank you to those lovely people
“Suprisingly beneficial feels good” – TH
“Feeling more relaxed” – EK
“Amazing I want more!” – CM
“Thank you I think you may just have saved my life” – DM
“Feels good after, would use you regularly if lived near you” – LM
“Amazing difference Instant pain relief” – HR
The weather forecast for WOMAD wasn’t very good this year, but we were hoping that it wouldn’t be too bad as setup day on wednesday promised showers & we didn’t get any.
Thursday was our first day trading and as expected many people were just getting their bearings around the place, it was an honour that some of our previous WOMAD clients came in again for another session – one lady after she’d put her tent up but not got the rest of her stuff from the car! and we had a few sessions booked for the weekend.
Friday’s promised showers turned into a continual downpour all day, it was fairly cool (felt more like autumn/winter than July) so not many people were ‘browsing’. We managed to improvise an awning over the front of our stand, and had a few clients.
Saturday saved the weekend with a lovely sunny day, also helping to dry out some of the mud in different areas, we had lots of people to talk to & were soon busy helping ease people’s aches and pains with sessions & demonstrations.
Sunday again promised showers – what would we get? Pretty wet early in the day which thankfully didn’t deter our booked clients, more people were wandering about as the rain eased later in the day.
Generally it wasn’t the most enjoyable weekend, being chilly & wet, and certainly packing up and carrying all our stuff through the mud …. yuk.
However we were able to spread the word about Emmett Technique & therapies, help people get more comfortable and enjoyed some good music on the Ecotricity stage in the lovely Arboretum.
We had some lovely feedback from our clients, here’s some we have permission to share :
“Really relaxing, Thank you!” LM
“Very gentle & relaxing – seems to have released the pain in my hip” – Fran
All told we will hopefully be back again next year – can’t let down our regulars.
What a brilliant day we had sharing Emmett Technique with 3 lovely ladies on the EMM-Tech Course.
For the first time we held the course in our little flat (aka ‘The Hobbit Hole’) so I was extra nervous even though we’d set up a more high-tech presentation (thanks Paul)
We were soon in the swing of things with lots of questions, stories & anecdotes and into the actual practical – where everyone was creating big changes in each other from the very first release – it was so much fun and much more like playing than learning.
I nearly had to send out Paul to search for the ladies who took a quick trip to All About Tea at lunchtime for some air & sunshine, but it was quickly on to experiencing and learning more releases.
One of the things I like most sharing Emmett Technique with small groups is being able to help everyone, even with hands on to get the best out of the course.
It is a full on day of learning and the ladies where still having fun at the end when they received their certificates, I hope that this is just the start of their Emmett journeys as all expressed interest in the practitioners course.
Thank you ladies for your feedback, including –
“Very very interesting – an eye opener to what even a layman can actually achieve”
“Well thought, clear, concise, humorous professional well supported throughout”
“Absolutely brilliant for adding to my skillset”
“It was a great day, training was superb”
Thank you ladies, it’s been an honour to help start you on your Emmett Technique journey – Jill & Paul
Despite the rain on Friday, wind on Saturday & blazing sun on Sunday we had a fabulous time at The Garden Show this year, being kept busy most of the time & sharing Bow-Emm therapy and Emmett Technique with lots of lovely people.
We also did quite a few demonstration quick fixes that show why Emmett has a growing reputation for instant results.
Thank you for everyone who let us share Emmett & Bow-Emm with them.
We also got some good feedback:
“Very relaxing & acute pain in my left shoulder significantly subsided – Thank You” – LL
“Interesting technique/treatment & feel really good. Thanks” – CJ
“Very good, caring and gentle treatment” – RD
“Lovely Relaxing Powerful and Releasing” – JS
Emmett Technique for Animals (Dogs & Cats)
I am now able to offer your four-legged family the benefit of Emmett Technique as a qualified Emmett 4 Animals practitioner. Dogs especially benefit from Emmett to revive their ‘bounce’ and enthusiasm for life. I was particularly surprised by how much more comfortable all the animals we trained with seemed after our practice session & they all seemed to enjoy it, even though most didn’t have significant issues it was especially noticeable in the older dogs.
Emmett Technique is so beneficial for most animals to make them more comfortable, restore some of their previous flexibility & agility, as well as assist getting over injury & surgery, or just making older age a little more comfortable.
I only work with Cats on their terms and am honoured if my clients feline family want to work with me, (if you’re having an Emmett Session I’m also unlikely to charge for cats):-
Call Jill on 07740190721 for more details.

Why train in Emmett 4 Animals?
As well as having a cat at home, occasionally I get a lot of attention from clients pets when I visit their homes, from dogs as well as cats, some who try to jump onto their owners while on the therapy couch!
I wanted to know what I could do to safely treat them with Emmett Technique, in 2015 I got chance so took the plunge taking the Emmett 4 Dogs course, qualifying at the end of the year.
Of course I had to practice on our cat at home and could see the benefit for him as a rescued cat.
I also feel that working with dogs has benefited my Emmett Technique practice with humans, I feel honoured to be able to assist pets.
Because I believe Emmett Technique is a lifeskill everyone should have at their fingertips so I am also an EMM-Tech Tutor, offering the community course that anyone can learn
I am also an Emmett Technique 4 Dogs practitioner (I may assist cats too) – hey why stop with humans when our fur families can be helped too!
I trained to be a Therapist after Bowen Technique taster session, in 2000, completely relieved 3 years of chronic pain changing my life instantly, so now I want to help you out of pain or discomfort and to improve your quality of life.
